Extravagant Pool Feature: Laucala Island Resort, Laucala, Fiji

We’ve seen some beautiful and unique swimming pools, but this one made our jaw drop! Located in Laucala, Fiji at the Laucala Island Resort, this pool looks as if it came right out of your wildest tropical dreams. Laucala’s 25 villas, all glamorous versions of traditional Fijian dwellings, each offer unparalleled exclusivity and privacy in dramatic, and very different, locations around the northern coast of the island. Resorts in Fiji are known for their ability to provide both residents and tourists with a sense of luxury that is often combined with a laid back islander lifestyle.

The 80-foot-long glass cube that serves as the resort’s pool is as chic as the 3,500-acre, private-island hotel itself. Come nightfall, Tiki torches create a serene Polynesian vibe. If you want to do laps or spread out, no worries, as there is also a lagoon-style pool surrounding the cube. For more private soaks, simply retire to your villa, which features a private infinity pool. All meals and drinks including Champagne, house wines, spirits and soft drinks are included at the island’s five restaurants and bars, where top international chefs can tailor themed menus to request. Free activities over the five days range from cycling around the island and classes in traditional crafts from cooking and baking to soap making, basket weaving and wood carving.

Laucala is one of three small islands off the northeast coast of Taveuni in Fiji. There are only 25 villas on the resort and nearly all are situated on their own private beach with swimming pool. Take a look!

If you are looking for a tropical travel destination, Fiji just might be it! Adventurous, exceptionally friendly, environmentally conscious, in-part cultured and in-part wild and, of course, extraordinarily good-looking, Fiji is as well-rounded a tropical destination as you’re likely dash through the white sand beaches on.
