Pool Covers

pool-coverAutomatic pool covers have their pros and cons. Pool covers price between $12,000- $15,000 because of the the decking plan. If your pool isn’t a standard shape they have to be shaped to fit your pool, therefore raising the price. Cheaper automatic covers are close to $8,000- $10,000. Manual covers are between $5,000-$8,000.

Pros and cons to pool covers are they can be heated, though they can heat up too much. To avoid that problem don’t cover your pool as much.

Automatic covers keep dirt out which makes the pool easier to clean, but it also keeps the chlorine in. You wanna watch for your pH substance and avoid using too much chlorine when covering your pool.

Every 5 to 6 years you want to update the automatic cover and replace tracks. Set aside money for the damages if they do occur. When seasons change you may want to keep your cover open for the snow, though the cover can withstand the weight of a couple people. The snow will impact the cover in a negative way wearing and pulling on the tracks.
