Spa Workouts to Get You Fit

Spa workouts are popular with the elderly but they are also great for people who have injuries or may be new to working out. You may not be sure which workouts are going to be the best for you so below are some spa workouts that are great to get started with.

#1 – Shoulder Rolls

When you are in your pool and have the resistance of the water, these simple shoulder rolls front and back will help with your mobility and enable you to release your neck muscles instead of having your shoulders up by your ears and your neck feeling horrible because you are doing the turtle tuck.

#2 – Core Exercises

Spa workouts for your core do not have to be difficult. All you need to do is do backward and forward bends slowly and you will begin to feel your core working. You can also do bends side to side. Do them for as long as you feel comfortable and you will get a good core workout.

#3 – Flutter Kicks

Kicking your feet by doing flutter kicks will allow you to work not only your legs but also your core. You can go to the side of the pool and allow your feet and legs to float up. Once they are to the top of the water, slowly kick your legs and repeat for as many times and as many sets feel comfortable to you.

#4 – Squats

Squats are great spa workouts that will help your legs and buttocks build. Just make sure to put your butt out far enough so that your knees are not jutting out over your ankles.
