Why do I need to put chlorine in my pool?

Swimmers leave behind body oils, talc, deodorants, and more. Over time, dirt accumulates in the water and contaminates the pool.

Chlorine is the most effective disinfectant to sanitize your pool. It protects swimmers from water-borne diseases and kills microorganisms and bacteria. The free chlorine level in the pool ensures residual protection for a long time.

However, you need to keep the free chlorine levels in the ideal range (1to 3 ppm), or you may experience side effects. Too much chlorine in your pool can cause skin rashes, itchiness, or redness of the eyes.
