Premier Pools & Spas Selects March’s Pool of the Month
Outstanding Swimming Pool Builders in Sacramento, CA
To provide individual franchise owners with special recognition and to celebrate successes, Premier Pools & Spas (PPAS) selects a pool of the month recipient. PPAS franchise owners are welcome to submit their favorite swimming pool projects for consideration.
Premier Sacramento is the winner of the Pool of the Month for March 2021. Builder Lance Irby takes the prize for this exceptional submission.
The incredible gunite swimming pool built in Granite Bay, California, encompasses 2,000 sq. feet, which includes an amazing spa, vanishing edges, and Grand Effects fire features. Three, 36” fire bowls and a 4ft. igniting fire pit add drama and warmth to this breathtaking backyard oasis.
Both glass and porcelain tile were incorporated into the pool design. Due to the pool’s curved structure, the tile was meticulously placed in small increments, to ensure a flawless finish.
Lance stated that the project faced excavation challenges and required custom engineering and special reinforcements, due to soil conditions and the size of the pool.
Typically, a swimming pool project of this magnitude requires multiple design drafts before a final plan is agreed upon. Lance shared that this project was a first-round success. His initial submission was accepted by both the project architect and homeowner.
Lance appreciated the patience of the owners, who were extremely proud of the results.
Pool of the month winners receive a donation to their favorite charity from PPAS. Lance selected the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for the donation. Lance chose JDRF in consideration of Premier’s President, Aaron Gurley, who serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern California Inland Chapter of JDRF.
