Choosing the Right Pool Slides

If you are having a new pool installed or if you want to upgrade your pool with a slide, knowing which one you should pick is important. Let’s look at the different slides so you can decide which one is going to be the best for you.

Straight Leg Slide

This slide is straight near the top with a wide curve at the end when you land in the pool. The straight leg slide has an open or closed stairway that makes the pool more spacious. A closed stairway might be better if you have younger children so they do not get injured and an open stairway is usually better for older children and adults. The stairs are a ladder for this type of slide that allows for the height to vary. The slide is short or tall depending on what you want. Most of these slides range from 8 to 12 feet in height. These slides normally fit best with a smaller pool because of the shape.

Molded Slide Leg

These usually have a steeper and curvier design. The legs usually curve to the right or left at the end which makes it a little more fun. You can also determine the hight of this slide as with the former slide. Most often this slide is around eight feet tall and has a closed stairway to keep young kids from climbing without adult supervision.

Elephant Leg Slide

There are two main types of elephant leg slides and they are known as G-Force pattern and the stream design. The first is a curvy slide that looks like a pasta noodle and is about nine feet tall. A stream elephant slide is like a molded slide leg but has a steeper drop at the beginning rather than the end. It is 14 feet tall and is large in size.
