Unusual Swimming Pools: Floating Barge

On the east harbor section of the River Spree in Berlin, a barge has been reconstructed into a floating swimming pool. This unique pool offers bathers a safe swimming area since the river is too polluted for safe swimming. The Badeschiff is open to the public and the swim season lasts from May to September.

Located on a narrow waterfront property on the south shore of English Bay, the Shaw House boasts a pool unlike any other that runs along the top west side of the house. The entrance is directly under the pool, midway along the side of the house, and the pool reflects daylight in a beautiful way throughout central spaces.
Unusual Swimming Pools: The Edge of the 24th floor

The Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao’s swimming pool is located on the edge of the 24th floor. For those brave enough to swim to the edge, the glass bottom overlooks the sidewalk, 328 feet down.
