Toned Abs – Pool Exercises
Every woman or man loves the idea of being able to look down and see toned abs. While the end result may be desirable, sometimes it is frustrating because you don’t feel like getting hot and sweaty trying to work out. If you are in the pool, you won’t have to worry about getting sweaty and in fact, most people say they look forward to working out in their pool.
#1 – On Your Back Crunches
To do on your back crunches all you need to do is lay on your back in the water with your legs on the side of the pool. You’ll look as if you are sitting on the side of the pool but your back will be to the water. As you sit up, you will come out of the water and as you lay back you can enjoy a cool dip. The backward movement and water hitting your back is a great way to reward yourself for each crunch.
#2 – Relaxed Leg Lifts
Go to the side of the pool with your back against the pool wall. Place each arm on the side of the pool as if you were ready to relax. While you look all relaxed on the surface of the water, this is when you put your legs together and calmly lift both legs up even to just beneath the water. Allow your legs to go up and down until your abs start to have a gentle burn.
#3 – Side to Sides
Put your feet a little wider than shoulder length apart. The water should be almost to your shoulder so you can put your arms out and move them from one side to the other side. The resistance that water creates will allow you to get extra burn in your abs.
Creating a Backyard Paradise
If you are ready to get into shape and have toned abs, you can do this at a public pool, but having your own pool will make it possible for you to get your workouts in easier. No more trying to get across town to get your pool workout in. If you want to do your workouts during hours the pool is not open, you will be able to because you set the pool hours.
