Premier Pools & Spas of Alice
Alice sits further inland than most of our territory, and the ground here is different because of it. Instead of the sandy, water table conditions common near the coast, Alice and the surrounding rural area sit on expansive clay soil. That means the water table issues that add cost near the bay aren’t typically a factor here, but it also means we’re building for a different kind of ground movement over time.
We build the same steel-reinforced gunite construction here that we do across the rest of the territory, engineered for inland clay rather than coastal sand.
Alice Pool Building services
Gunite remains the top choice in Alice, roughly 90% of our territory-wide builds are gunite, and that holds true here too. Inland clay soil doesn’t change our recommendation, but it does mean the engineering underneath your pool looks a little different than it would on a sandy coastal lot. Pools start around $55,000, with most complete projects averaging near $85,000.
Fiberglass starts around $60,000 and remains a solid option in Alice. Inland lots tend to be more regularly shaped than tighter coastal properties, which can make fiberglass installation more straightforward here than it is closer to the water, though most homeowners who choose gunite still do so for the customization it allows.
Alice pools deal with different wear patterns than coastal ones. Less salt exposure, but still the standard sun and chemical wear any Texas pool sees over time. We handle resurfacing, retiling, and equipment upgrades, all finished with the pebble interior we use across every project.

What Alice homeowners are saying about Premier Pools & Spas
Alice Territory
We build inground pools in Alice and the surrounding Jim Wells County communities.
Alice’s more rural setting means septic systems and private wells are more common here than closer to the coast. That’s not a problem for a pool build, we just need to keep a safe distance from the septic tank and spray heads. If a property’s well can’t fully keep up with filling the pool, water may need to be trucked in, something we’ll flag during your site visit.

Alice FAQs
Common questions from Alice homeowners about building a custom inground pool with Premier Pools & Spas.
Gunite pools start around $55,000, with most complete projects averaging near $85,000 once features are added. Fiberglass starts around $60,000.
Yes. Alice sits on expansive clay soil rather than the sandy, water table-prone ground common near the coast. That changes the engineering approach, though it doesn’t typically add the well-point costs that coastal water table issues do.
It’s far less common here than in our coastal territory. Water table issues that require well points are mostly a near-coast factor, so inland properties like Alice usually avoid that added cost.
Dig to swim day runs 7 to 9 weeks once construction starts, with another 1 to 3 weeks upfront for permitting and any HOA approval.
Yes, most cities in our territory require one, and we manage the entire permitting process for you. Approval takes around 1 to 3 weeks.
Often, yes. Inland lots tend to be more regularly shaped, which makes the concrete surround a fiberglass shell needs more straightforward than on tighter coastal properties. Most Alice customers still choose gunite for the added design flexibility.
