Ah, swimming pool maintenance! Maybe it isn’t what you get up excited about in the morning, but if you want to have a pool that looks gorgeous and isn’t prone to algae and other annoying conditions then you need to think about it. Swimming pool maintenance isn’t as bad as you might think and actually can be enjoyable if you are in the right mindset. It’s even better if you hire someone to do your swimming pool maintenance because they take care of the hassle for you.

Swimming Pool Maintenance – Just Get It Done
When you power through and get your swimming pool maintenance done, you are going to make it easier on yourself in the long run. Here are some simple things you can do to keep your pool maintained.
#1 – Remove Debris
Make sure to get rid of any debris in your pool or in your skimmer. Dispose of it away from the pool so it doesn’t blow back into the pool. If you have any trees that are shedding pollen and blossoms, you may want to trim them a bit so that they aren’t getting into the pool.
#2 – Set Up the Vacuum
The return jets on the side of the pool should be directed downward in order to quiet the surface ripples so you are able to see the bottom. You can connect the vacuum to the hose, prop up the pole with the vacuum head to suspend it over the water. Once you do this use one of the jet’s nozzles to fill the free hose end and wait for the water to pour out of the vacuum. Once it is full, it is time to submerge the vacuum head and clamp a hand over the hose until you connect the hose at the skimmer.
#3 – Vacuum Your Pool
Once you’ve got the vacuum set up, take about 30 minutes to vacuum your pool and you’re good to go.
#4 – Adjust the Chemicals
You should make sure to test the chemicals every week about 2-3 times per week. This will ensure that you always have the best levels for your pool. There are quite a few things to check so make sure you don’t skip it. If your pool gets out of balance, you are not going to be happy.
