A freehold resident woke up one day to find animals in the pool. Well, to be more specific, a deer in her pool! The cute little fawn decided it was going to take a swim in this black bottom pool. It didn’t just come once though. The dear comes each day for a nice swim. Animals in the pool aren’t a rare occurrence, but they usually are not wild animals. More like dogs and cats.

If you are thinking about having animals in the pool more then you need to think about their exit strategy. Animals not being able to exit the pool is often one of the reasons that you have a challenge with your pets. While they may be able to swim for a certain length of time, they can’t go for hours without getting out of the water. If you do not have a way for them to easily get out of the water, they could get stranded and drown trying to get out. Many pools only have a ladder to be able to get out of the pool but if you are going to have animals in the pool, you want to get a scamper or put some steps in so they will be able to get out when they need to.
