We’re profiling celebrity pools and it’s Lebron James turn this week as we feature his recently former waterfront estate in Coconut Grove. King James lived at this palatial mansion while playing for the Miami Heat from 2010-14. Rumor has it the property had been on the market almost a year after the NBA superstar rejoined the Cavaliers.
The house, which sold for $2 million less than the original listing asking price of $17 million, has all the superstar amenities fit for the King. At 12,178 square feet, it includes six bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, a wine cellar, a home theater, an elevator, an incredible infinity pool, roof-top sun deck and dock big enough to fit two yachts (dock em if you got em). As celebrity pools go, Lebron’s old pad is more than your average square hole in the ground with water. A true celebrity pool, it has all the hallmarks of your over-the-top outrageous features.
Yeah it looks like Lebron has said farewell forever to Miami which has Heat fans in an uproar and Cav fans over the moon at the return of the King. With that said, Lebron and Queen Atlanta did turn a nice profit however, having bought the property five years ago for just $9 million. The family of five currently resides in the Bath Township mansion they’ve called home since 2007. Appraised last year at $9,684,970, it features a two-lane bowling alley, casino, barbershop, recording studio and three-story aquarium.
